Working together
Service terms
DRAFT: FOR OWNER/LEGAL REVIEW BEFORE PUBLISHING. Not yet in effect.
1. The free consultation. A free 15-minute consultation is an introductory conversation only. It does not create a paid engagement, and nothing said in it is a guarantee of results.
2. When paid work begins. Paid consulting begins only after you review and accept a written quote or purchase a published package. The accepted quote or package describes the agreed scope, deliverables, timeline, and price. A dated copy of what you accepted is saved to your client portal.
3. Scope and changes. Work outside the agreed scope requires a revised written quote. Either of us may request a scope change; it takes effect when both of us accept it in writing (email or the portal counts as writing).
4. Payment. Prices are stated in US dollars. One-time services are invoiced through Stripe and are due by the date on the invoice. Subscriptions renew automatically at the stated interval until canceled (see the Cancellation & refund policy). Work may pause while an invoice is overdue.
5. No guaranteed outcome. I will perform the agreed services with reasonable care and skill. Plans, websites, marketing support, and budget coaching cannot guarantee revenue, profit, savings, traffic, approvals, or any other particular result. Outcomes depend on your decisions, implementation, market conditions, and factors outside my control.
6. Not professional advice. Personal budget coaching is educational and organizational. It is not individualized investment, legal, tax, accounting, credit-repair, or debt-settlement advice. Consult a licensed professional for those matters. Life-insurance conversations are handled separately under my producer license and are never part of a consulting engagement.
7. Your responsibilities. Provide accurate information, timely feedback, and approvals; obtain any rights you need to materials you give me; and keep your own account credentials private.
8. Deliverables and ownership. After full payment, you own the final deliverables created specifically for you. I keep the right to reuse general know-how, templates, and methods that are not specific to you. Third-party tools, themes, and services remain subject to their own licenses.
9. Confidentiality. I will not publish your intake answers or share your business details except as needed to deliver the work, as described in the Privacy notice, or as required by law.
10. Limitation of responsibility. To the extent permitted by law, my total responsibility for any claim connected with a consulting engagement is limited to the fees you paid me for that engagement in the 12 months before the claim. This does not limit responsibility that the law does not allow to be limited.
11. Ending an engagement. Either of us may end an engagement with written notice. You pay for work completed up to that date under the agreed quote; see the Cancellation & refund policy for details.
12. Governing law and disputes. [Owner/legal: insert state, venue, and any informal-resolution step.] These terms do not waive rights that cannot be waived under applicable law and do not promise that disputes cannot arise.
13. Changes. I may update these terms for future engagements. The version you accepted with a quote or purchase continues to govern that engagement.
